Many Residents have a desire to work but feel disadvantaged and alienated from the job market. The benefits system now requires those claiming universal credits to provide evidence that they are actively looking for employment, yet experience demonstrates that they have limited resources to provide individual support and guidance in doing so. The weekly Living Skills programme offers Residents the opportunity to receive assistance with all aspects of paid employment, voluntary work, and training. Our links to organisations within West Yorkshire offers Residents access to opportunities that they may previously have been unaware of. Our Rehabilitative Activity programme offers residents the opportunity to receive assistance with all aspects of paid employment, voluntary work, and training. Our links to organisations in Leeds offer residents access to opportunities that they may previously have been unaware of. This includes working with agencies who specialise in sourcing paid employment for those with criminal convictions – such agencies attend the AP to meet with residents and help them with:
