For many Residents, the experience of opening a bank or building society account is something they have previously either avoided or have not had the need to experience. Likewise, often, money management and budgeting are topics they have not had to previously consider. The budgeting programme will educate Residents in all aspects of money management and offers practical assistance and guidance where necessary.

Amongst the topics covered are:

• Methods of payment such as Direct Debit
• Loans and loan sharks
• Savings
• Financial planning
• Debt Management

For those Residents requiring additional assistance, the programme will signpost them to organisations that are able to provide specialist individual advice.
