Whilst many of our Rehabilitative Activities have been developed to educate and assist Residents to move on to independent living, we also believe that providing opportunities for people to experience things they either enjoy or may not have experienced before is beneficial for personal development. Where possible, small groups of Residents are given the opportunity to decide what activity they would like to participate in and are encouraged to organise the activity including costings and travel plans. From bowling through to museum visits, the activities are an opportunity for Residents to engage with each other and the hostel staff outside of the AP environment. These activity days are viewed as a reward upon completion of the Independent Living Skills programme.
Weekly activities ran by the hostel Project Worker also include, Art Group, Bingo, Pool Tournaments, Xbox games nights and many more. We also take pride in celebrating diversity and inclusion, and often tailor activities to the diversity calendar including Black History Month, Eid-Al-Fitr, Chinese New Year, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, LGBTQ+ History Month etc.
There is also access to outdoor gym facilities on our grounds at the hostel.
